The Native American Incentive Act (FAR52.226-1) implements 25 USC 1544 which provides an incentive to Department of Defense prime contractors to use Indian organizations as subcontractors. If a contracting officer includes clause 52.226-1 in a solicitation ("Utilization of Indian Organization and Indian-Owned Economic Enterprises"), the Prime is eligible for an incentive payment.
